Here are some recent (yesterday) pictures I took of the Town and Country
Senior Care Residence in Mt. Kisco. I walked up the very steep hill at sunrise
and then walked up the driveway where I took these pictures. I was unable to
show the spectacular view of the entire town of Mt. Kisco from the rear of the
place as the sun was just rising and made a picture impossible. This was the
former Swiss Home that Charles Challandes and his good wife, Alice Borner
Challandes, ran for many years. Many members of the family and other Swiss
friends have fond memories of gathers at the Swiss Home, either for one of
Alice's spectacular Thanksgiving dinners, or at one of the regular gatherings of
Swiss immigrants for some festivity or another. The Swiss Society apparently
sold the place in the 1990s and the town of Mt. Kisco seems to have
acquired the extensive wooded acreage adjacent to the home.
If you are unable to download these pictures and are interested in viewing
them, I can send them one at a time. Right now, they'll come to you in a zipped
file. Good luck.
